Book two of ‘the lion and the butterfly’ series completed!Did you read book one with us? You might want to check out the review on that first. A Royal family is still centered on beautiful Jerusha and her family.  I loved how the author transitioned this character from a life filled with doubt and anger to one filled with love, understanding, and family.

Throughout the entire book, the author really surprised me with plot twists, it was amazing. The plots kept me on my toes until the end of the book. Up to the last page of the book, I was longing for more pages to read. That’s how interesting it was.

I loved that Jerusha’s source of happiness (praising and dancing) was still intact in this series. Now she’s married to the love of her life, and like any other woman, she desired to be blessed with a child to make her family complete. This journey on its own is filled with so many emotions. God’s way is not our way.

In this love story, one important thing stood out, the love of God and his kingdom. With all we are blessed with or all that we’ve lost, are we still committed and passionate about the kingdom of God, making ourselves available to fulfill His will?

From book one of this series, I can attest to the fact that the books you read can truly impact your life. While reading this series, I’ve been reminded not to create room for doubt, fear or complaints. I know and believe that my God knows and sees all, so I hand- over everything to him.

Jerusha did not have an easy journey trying to be a mother, this was another season of learning and growth for her. It was a season of growth for me too. Sometimes we beat ourselves up because we are not getting the things we want, the way we want it. This book reminds us that what we see as a problem or a loss is actually God’s path to greatness.

I hope you enjoy this series as much as I did. Stay tuned for the next book- A ROYAL FATHER.

Until next month, remain blessed.
